There’s always room for icons at the NON-COMMvention, and among them this year will be War.
The Long Beach funk and soul band is known for hits such as “Low Rider”,”The Cisco Kid”,”Slippin’ Into Darkness”,”Why Can’t We Be Friends”, and “Summer” among man others.
War joins a NON-COMMvention musical lineup that includes the previously announced Natalie Merchant, Ben Folds, Genesis Owusu, and Hannah Jadagu. Many more artists are yet to be announced.
The NON-COMMvention, a gathering of public radio and music industry executives, will take place May 2-5, 2023 at the World Cafe adjacent to the WXPN studios in Philadelphia.
Early Bird registration rates are in effect, and the Sheraton Philadelphia University City – the official hotel — is taking reservations.
