NON-COMM Triple A KXT/Dallas is launching “Bring the Music Back,” an on-air and digital campaign featuring musicians speaking to concert safety.

Featuring artists such as Leon Bridges, Jade Bird, and Bridget Kearney of Lake Street Dive, the campaign is part of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting’s larger initiative intended to counter COVID-19 and vaccine misinformation and disinformation.

Through on-air audio and digital video spots, the artists address COVID-19 facts, vaccinations, and audience safety in the context of the return of live music — speaking to their excitement of returning to the stage, the related importance of wearing masks, and good safety practices at shows.

In an effort to broaden impact, KXT will share all assets to interested stations at no cost. The assets include clean broadcast spots, social videos, an explainer video, and marketing materials available for tagging with local station logos.

Said KXT Program Director Amy Miller, “Our hope in this effort is to reach audiences who are interested in music and entertainment with critical facts and accurate information on COVID-19…we expect to make more artist spots available in the coming weeks.”
