By now I’ve come to realize that I’m the only one in the U.S. on the Sam Fender bandwagon. And that’s a shame because this album may be the best release of 2021. Fender continues to rake in superior reviews and Springsteen comparisons for his brutally honest writing about growing up near Newcastle.
His newest release, “Spit of You” centers on those rarely spectacular father/son relationships. He enlists actor Stephen Graham, a name you might not know, but a face that’s everywhere – often playing bad guys like Capone in Boardwalk Empire, Baby Face Nelson in Public Enemies, Dick James in Rocketman, and Scrum in the Pirates of the Caribbean series. You’ll see him now in Venom and soon in Peaky Blinders.
Perfect casting for this clip.
Adele, 87 million views as of this writing, for “Easy On Me”…
Tears for Fears have pleasantly surprised their rabid fan base with the title track from their 2022 album “The Tipping Point”…
